Wow…this morning was amazing. Tahoe’s very first Stick Stretching class and I had the honor and pleasure of teaching it. I thank my dedicated patients, Dr. Lipkin (a great chiropractor!), and Autumn Gelfand (Tahoe’s Best Massage Therapist 2011) for joining us and becoming part of this class. For those of you out there not sure what Stick Stretching is, here you go. Stick Stretching is an extremely creative form of exercise that combines principles, movements and poses from Tai Chi and Yoga, but also adds a completely new dimension to these ancient practices by the use of a 6 foot long flexible stick. Stick Stretching will bring you BALANCE, STRENGTH, FLEXIBILITY, YOUTHFULNESS and a great sense of INNER PEACE & SELF ACCOMPLISHMENT.
Once some of the basics have been mastered, you will quickly see how adaptable this practice of Stick Stretching is to any fitness level or sporting activity. After a few short weeks you will feel less pain throughout your body — this is incredible stuff. I discussed the removal of “THE FUZZ” from our bodies. Come join us on Thursday mornings at 8:30AM (at PUSH Fitness) to learn a new discipline, meet some nice folks and I’ll enlighten you on “ THE FUZZ”.
